Chinese courses

In our Chinese courses we teach children about Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture through play and using age-appropriate methods. Courses cover typical customs, songs and stories. Children are placed in classes of 4 to max. 8 or small groups and learn their first Chinese characters through play. These Chinese courses are suitable for children from 5 years of age. (For younger children we recommend our Chinese play groups.)

HSK (native language and culture)

We offer HSK courses for children with family ties to China. HAN TONG is an official provider of the HSK courses in Chinese in the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Baselland. The HSK lessons support the students in their native language and in dealing with multilingualism. These skills also support language development in German. HSK lessons usually take place in public schools in Basel-Stadt or Baselland.
